Antique wooden presentation case with an ornate brass or gilt-metal plaque engraved with the text: “PRESENTED TO MR. B. HILBERT BY THE EMPLOYEES COMMITTEE OF THE SALT UNION SOCIETY ON THE OCCASION OF HIS MARRIAGE OCTOBER 1907.” The wood exhibits visible signs of wear consistent with age, including scattered scratches, scuffs, and areas where the finish appears slightly dulled. A small white label with the number “4” is affixed to the lower left edge.
