UAM - AI Test JULY
This lot comprises a stack of approximately seven assorted ceramic and porcelain plates, including a larger underplate or charger. Several of the plates feature blue and white transferware designs, including those evocative of the Willow pattern, with various geometric and floral borders. Some of these blue and white plates exhibit remnants of gilt along their scalloped rims. Also included in the stack is a cream-colored plate with a muted floral motif and pronounced crazing across its surface. The largest plate, possibly a charger, has a scalloped edge and is decorated with a bold pink and white floral pattern. The overall condition is mixed, with general surface wear, gilt loss, and crazing evident on some pieces. The styles are characteristic of the late 19th or early 20th century. Web intelligence suggests some may be “Made in Occupied Japan.”
Condition report:
