Vintage drafting set in a blue velvet-lined case by Broadhurst, Clarkson & Co., Opticians, Fenchurch St. E.C.3. The set includes various metal drafting instruments. Accompanying the drafting set are two vintage scientific calculators: a Boots 527 and a Casio fx-39 (marked “C. W. MESSAGE”). A British Thornton slide rule in a grey plastic case, a magnifying glass with an antler-style handle and brass elements, and a square wooden desk accessory with a decorative, possibly inlaid, pattern and central metal component are also included. Additional items visible include a multi-lobed art glass vase, a carved and painted wooden duck figurine, a partial model or machine with red wheels, and the spine of a large, possibly leather-bound book.
Condition report:
The drafting set, calculators, and slide rule show signs of use and wear consistent with age. The book spine exhibits significant edge wear. The remaining items appear in fair condition with some minor wear.
