This is a part tea and dinner service in the Aynsley “Leighton Cobalt” pattern. The service is primarily white porcelain or fine china with a deep cobalt blue rim, extensive gilding on the edges and handles, and a border of gold stylized scallops or lappets. Some of the larger pieces have a brown and gilt foliate or scroll pattern beneath the blue rim. The service includes numerous cups, saucers, side plates, a teapot, and two creamers. A retail label indicating “14 pieces” is present on one stack of plates. The service appears to be in generally good condition with minor surface dust.
